Les Arenes de Latece is unique because it's an amazing historical sight that pops up out of nowhere in the middle of a residential neighborhood. I love seeing the Roman roots of the city , and visualizing the events of the arena. On our walk to the Cluny Museum, I enjoyed seeing the traditional universities of the Latin Quarter. This helped me to visualize what it might be like to spend some time studying in Paris, something I hope to do after this trip. We had time to walk around, eat a French lunch (Pro tip: French cheese lives up to the hype), find the most beautiful gelato (artistry, even with inexpensive food, is very important in Paris). We ate quickly so we would be allowed into stores (they wouldn't let us enter with gelato, pretty as it was). We visited the Rodin museum, where we spent lots of time outside looking at the statues. I got my favorite picture of the trip with Rodin's "Le Penseur" (The Thinker). Our next stop was the Musee D'Orsay. I'm a big fan of Van Gogh, so I loved seeing his pieces in the museum. Everyone was pretty tired at this point, so I also enjoyed the quality time spent sitting on a bench and looking at Van Gogh with my classmates.
